Amine-functionalized graphene nanosheets were synthesized using the solvothermal method with ethylenediamine as the reagent. In this process, the amine functional groups in ethylenediamine can act as epoxide ring-opening agents and also react with carboxyl and hydroxyl groups, forming an amine through a nucleophilic substitution reaction. This functionalization plays a crucial role in modifying the chemical properties of graphene, enhancing its potential applications in various fields. After preparing these nanosheets, their structural characteristics were extensively examined using X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns. The results provided precise information regarding the crystalline phase, interlayer spacing, and structural integrity of the synthesized material. Additionally, the optical and vibrational properties were analyzed using the Kramers-Kronig relations. The transverse and longitudinal optical phonon modes were determined at 424.5 cm⁻¹ and 514.9 cm⁻¹, respectively. These findings confirm the structural stability and vibrational behavior of the aminated graphene nanosheets, which can be beneficial for applications in sensors, catalysis, and advanced nanomaterials.
